What is Charity Week?

Charity Week is an annual fundraising initiative that brings communities together to raise funds for children and create meaningful opportunities for them to learn, grow and thrive.

It is a time for us to come together as individuals, families, schools, organisations and communities to turn our generosity into meaningful support for children who need it.

This year, your donation through Charity Week will support NUR Sabah — a community-based project designed to provide foundational Islamic learning to children from vulnerable communities in Kinarut, Sabah.

Where Will Your Donation Go?

NUR Sabah

Nurturing Understanding & Religious Foundation

NUR Sabah is a six-month community-based project supporting 60 children in Kinarut, Sabah.

The project provides children with access to structured, age-appropriate Islamic learning through weekly sessions led by a qualified teacher or trained facilitator.

The children will learn about:

• Solat – building confidence in performing prayer
• Wudu & Cleanliness – learning purification and personal hygiene
• Daily Duas – learning supplications for everyday life
• Foundational Islamic Knowledge – developing a stronger understanding of their faith
• Positive Islamic Values – nurturing good character and values

Your Donation Helps Provide

Your Charity Week contribution will help support the implementation of NUR Sabah through:

• ????Islamic learning and educational materials

• ????Prayer equipment

• ✏️ Learning resources

• ????Practical learning activities

• ????Weekly teaching and facilitation support

The children's participation and learning progress will also be monitored through attendance, practical observations and assessments.

Beyond the six-month project, NUR Sabah will also work with local community representatives to explore opportunities for continued Islamic learning and support for the children.
